Our company is going through a major restructuring
process, by dividing itself into two entities: "SC Fabrica de
Pulberi SA" (The Powders Factory) and "SC UPS Fagaras SA". All
production facilities will be taken over by the new company,
SC Fabrica de Puberi SA, which is to be considered as the
successor of UPS Fagaras in contractual matters and business
relations concerning powders and explosives.
We estimate the process to be complete at the end of
September 2006. Details will be posted as as soon as the
changes are complete and final. As of October 2006 this site
will redirect its visitors to the new site,
www.powders.ro.

Company profile
Our company is the only producers of high-explosives and solid propellants in
Romania. The foundations for our production facilities were established in 1921
and since then, we have continuously provided our customers with quality
products, training and service in this domain, gaining a solid reputation as a
serious bussiness partner.
In time, we provided the Romanian national defence system with the
demanded products, as well as foreign partners, all over the world - Europe, US,
Asia and so on. All our products meet the requirements imposed by the Romanian
or NATO military standards.

Production
Most of our production facilities are new, with
modern technology and high degree of automation, thus
providing top-quality products with minimum overhead in
costs and personnel.
The newest installation is the sulphuric and
nitric acid acid reconcentration plant, which was
commissioned in late 2003. |

Quality
The inspections and testing procedures take place in
modern laboratories equipped with a complete line of
measuring and testing devices needed to insure the
highest quality of our products.
Our company has been ISO 9002
certified by the Romanian Military Agency for Quality
Certification and shortly will comply with ISO
9001/2001. |
